Every day I fall in love...

"Our cyber selves, ie. facebook, twitter, LinkdIn  profiles etc. are 'the us' we would have been if we created ourselves, we freely say things we want to say the way it should be aid, we have fun and joke much as we'd love to, we make friends with those we couldn't easily approach in the real world. We live the life the real us fight the reality to break to."

Every day I fall in love...

and today, today is with the words of my friend, Neo Marutha. She says; "being a 'makhwapheni' is like being an extra in the movie, with all the scenes you appear in edited out, unless one watches the makings, special features or deleted scenes they will never know you acted in that movie, so what's the use of acting in it when all that does is to deplore your worth"?

Lean on me session with Barman Larry - BACKDOOR

Welcome to another session of 'Lean on Me' with Barman Larry.

Romy says that her boyfriend wants to use the back door, and she’s not sure she’s comfortable with this.

Romy, this certainly sounds bizarre. I’m sure you have a perfectly nice front door, but maybe he’s embarrassed about the state of it. Perhaps it could do with a fresh coat of paint, or a welcome mat to make him feel more at home. You could also try trimming the bushes in the front garden, and planting some colourful petunias to make the whole experience of coming home a lot more inviting. I’d even be sneaky and suggest you lock your back door, and hide the key.

But if that doesn’t go down well, give him a Savanna. It’s dry. But he can drink it.
Not for sale to persons under the age of 18.

Jua of the earth, he moves to the west guided by the wind, his breaths are the steps that move him without footprints, the sounds of his steps harmonise to the the waves of his thoughts, and soon as he gets to the west he sleeps in the cave by the western mountains and wakes up in the east to take the journey once more...

MP's Finest Hip Hop - Another Episode

At some point of time I thought Lauryn was in town, but then again that sound, those looks and the words of the song were all just different, not too hard to feel the youngness of the heart and the African touch on it, the song is called Watch out (Mzansi), the rendition of Lauryn Hill’s all time hit Doo wop that thing, by a group called Shangaan Swazi featuring Omary.

The happening was another episode of Hip Hop Finest, on Thursday the 25th of August 2011 in Newscafé. More than 40 local Hip Hop cats and the wanna be’s show cased their talents, the fans and the groupies came in in a huge number to see what these guys were serving for the night. This event, aimed at developing talented Hip Hop lovers who want to make it the music industry, was made possible by Ground Level Entertainment, Tsonga Blooded Productions and covered by eTV and city press.

Amongst the performers, were a 10 years old girl, Pender, youngest rapper I know, this girl brought to the stage a performance that most of the older rappers in the show couldn’t come close, beside the flawless flow, Pender had moves that got everyone synced to. The second youngest was a boy called “Small boy”, at 14 years of age, this boy could just be the king of free style, and judging from audience’s response small boy made the night to many, not just fans but other performers too.

CHP (Criptic Hip Hop Muvement) under the reins of Lerato (manager) is made of members, Husky, Pender, I.V.O, Cyder, Dry Jean and Kaddy, all from Sabie. The group started back in 2008 as just a crowd of Hip Hop lovers until they started battling and performing for the audience this year April, and so far it’s going better and better.
MP3 is a crew of three, Rasjava, Scandolous and Crazy all from Pinaar, with their album coming out on the 18th of September 2011, Hip Hop must just brace itself for revolution, other performances included crews and soloists like; Swazi Warriors, Quantum Boy, Hebbz and many others...

Shuttered City Shuffle...

A Kansas City Shuffle is when everybody looks right, you go left and It's not something people hear about. Falls on deaf ears mostly. No small matter. Requires a lot of planning. Involves a lot of people. People connected only by the slightest of events. Like whispers in the night, in that place that never forgets, even when those people do. But then this one right here, involved a boy, a girl and a camera... And even though it usually starts with a horse, this one started with a light...

to those that hang their hearts on the washing line to make their families smile - happy women’s month...

And to those that, no matter how hard, climb hills on heels, swaying hips sideways like it’s where they get tips of life, those that make up new faces to hide the canals of sweltering tears on their cheeks, and still stand strong enough to put on a smile and say I’m ok, everything is ok, and all that sort of things, even though they wake up not certain what the day will bring they get up with heartful of love like they bank roses in Rosebank.

Those that go through all the bullcrap we, men, heartlessly and unnecessarily, put them in without giving a damn how painful it feels for them to love us when they could choose not to.

Those that breathes dry air just so their families can take in the good one, and sleep with their stomachs full, the ones that open their hearts and leave them hanging on the washing line so their men can come back to a clean home when tired of being pigs in the sties of the who*es who eat married men merrily in the expense of those that cook for and clean them.

happy women’s month...

A City Through my Window Glass

From the 5th floor of Prorom Building in the Brown street in Nelspruit CBD, if you look east this is what you see, a striking view of the Caltex Building, the Pinnacle and the ABSA Square, and once you're done, then you would agree with me, this is another chapter of beauty defined.

HOW TO BE A BIT*H with a clear conscience

# 1 - Dress up, go to a public place, sit, cry and eat something fatty.

# 2 - Love everyone/thing, even the trees.

# 3 - Sing Beyonce’s single ladies song in the shower in your loudest voice everyday until your  neighbours complain.

# 4 - Sit at a restuarant, in the rain, like, it’s the only way.

# 5 - Go to the gym and enjoy it, because you know you stop at the KFC on the way home.

# 6 - Cry during stupid flicks like high school musical.

# 7 - Hate the world and people for living.

# 8 - Laugh when in doubt, even if it’s at your own jokes.

# 9 - Fart quietly in a corner and move to the next room with a grin on your face.

# 10 - Cut an apple and tell people how much you enjoy the pain when you cut yourself.

# 11 - Abbreviate, abbrev, abbre, abb...

# 12 - Say shut up to your parents... and run like you will never come back.

# 13 - Invite your boyfriend to sleep over, start a fight just before bedtime, make him sleep on the couch and apologize first thing in the morning.

# 14 - Order a meal and shout at the waitress for being too slow, then order her to put it in a take out bag because you just remembered the doctor’s order not to eat such meals, then order something else to eat there.

# 15 – Take a long distance (more than 4 hours) trip in a public transport dressing up in a Ephymol design and Bally Renova boots and tell people Ephraim Molingoane is your ex boyfriend’s cousin.

Stuck in traffic with my sneaker 2.0

Maybe it makes more sense to those who think lesser than to those who claim they’re smart, I don’t have a car, but today I was stuck in traffic, walking. See, I told you, you don’t have to think too much to understand this, my “not so smart” friends easily understand what I’m on about.
In simple terms all I’m saying is; I cross a 7 lane wide freeway road everyday to and from work, no any pedestrian first kind of a road sign, so I have to put myself in the risk and run in a 100 km/h speed to the other side of the road in racing with the a**wholes that change lanes at 160 km/h speed whenever they see a less fortunate person like me trying to cross the road and then laugh when I run fastest back to my safety spot after few seconds frozen in the middle of the road trying to figure if I could or not manage to get to the other side of the road before they reach to where I’m crossing, or else I will have to exercise the other options I have, like:
  • Stand there until the traffic is less and it’s safe for me to go to the other side without much risk of being hit by a car, of which is going to take about an hour or two on a Friday or a day prior to a holiday.
  • Walk to the closest pedestrian crossing, which is the traffic lights about 3kms away from my crossing point, and then walk again and 2 and a half km back to my work street, and that’s like 30 minutes walk going to where I can get in 5 if I run and cross N4 fast and safe.

Well I have realised that there’s no one I can actually blame for all this, and it’s a big disappointment to because I’m the type that have, lately, found out that shifting a blame is the most guilt-allaying thing whenever I go through a bad day or life hit me with one of those I can not do anything about, not that I cannot do anything about thins one, I mean; I can go buy a car and few months later fail to pay and they;
  • hit me with warnings (as if they’re cheque deposit to help me pay the instalments)
  • Garnish me come and repossess the car then I’ll go back to road-crossing spot.
  • Blacklist me so that even when I get the job that pays me to my satisfaction I will have to hustle to buy a car again.

Let me just stop here before I give myself a heart attack or stroke or nervous breakdown or whatever that could just make my ex girlfriend smile. RU

and today... - mind of a village boy

"and today, today feeds the time and guides the sun to where yesterday shed tears, so tomorrow never sleeps in hunger and pain"
